Job Overview: As a Technology and Cybersecurity Analyst at BOMCAS Canada, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, security, and functionality of our technological infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining data confidentiality, protecting against cyber threats, and optimizing the technology tools that drive our firm's operations. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with IT teams to manage and maintain accounting software, cybersecurity measures, and overall technological infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses in our systems.
  • Monitor network traffic, detect and respond to security incidents, and implement necessary measures to mitigate risks.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that enhance data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide support for remote work technologies, ensuring secure access for our remote team members.
  • Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to ensure our systems are safeguarded against emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to educate and promote cybersecurity awareness among employees.
  • Assist with technology-related compliance audits and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certifications.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis, risk assessment, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Proficiency in cloud security best practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
