Job Overview: BOMCAS Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and processing the accounts payable function for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients to collect and verify vendor invoices and payment requests.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and promptly.
  • Verify invoice details, including product/service descriptions, quantities, and prices.
  • Code and input invoices into accounting systems, ensuring proper general ledger coding.
  • Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  • Prepare and execute payments to vendors via checks, electronic transfers, or other methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and payments.
  • Assist in preparing month-end and year-end accounts payable reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant diploma or certification in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an accounts payable specialist or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
